It was a little awkwardly worded, and he didn’t preface his point (that if anyone got in trouble for that photo it wouldn’t be her, even though she’s likely solely responsible for it), but JP’s comment makes perfect sense. A pedophilia charge would ruin someone’s life, and if they were charged because they viewed a photo that a 17 year old girl willingly took of herself because society deems it the same as rape of a toddler, then that would be a shame. Meanwhile pop culture keeps amping up the sexual influences on underage girls.
